What Causes Sneezing, Blocked Nose, Itchy Eyes With Flare Ups?
Hi, Only since the last year I feel like I have been flaring up in the shower. I will continuously sneeze and be bunged up, even for a good 10-20 minutes when I come out of the shower. Whenever this happens and I blow my nose it comes out completely clear so I know it is not a virus. I find myself sneezing and getting bunged up occasionally in the day too, and get itchy eyes. I have a always assumed these symptoms were hayfever as I have had cats for years and never had a problem before, do you have an idea what it is?
Hi . This is definitely an allergic process affecting your nose and eyes. You can certainly take Cetirizine in the night and a steroidal nasal spray the moment you get up in the morning to get the first attack avoided and make life comfortable. Cats alone can not cause such type of allergy. Anything under the sun including the sun can cause allergy. It is possible that the dead mites in your bed and linen or the molds and mildews in the bathroom can cause these problems. Avoid all the allergens you have noticed to cause this. Prevention is better than cure in cases of allergic problems.
