I appreciate your awareness. Snoring in a child is a sign of obstructive sleep disturbance which needs an evaluation. Many a times enlarged adenoids or bad posture can be the reason in this age group. You may visit an ENT specialist for complete evaluation to rule out enlarged adenoids. Also, the following measures will be useful: 1. Avoid thick pillows while he sleeps. 2. Treat nasal congestion and cough or cold with antihistamine such as Syp. Mantra or T- minic. 3. Keep a room humidifier if the season is dry while sleeping. 4. Normal saline nebulisations before sleep may be useful. Hopefully this will be useful. I would be happy to help you in future health related questions.
