Hi
A lump could be any thing from infection to lipoma to carcinoma.I would advice to you to go for a test called FNAC. It stands for Fine-Needle Aspiration Cytology.A part of the lump would be taken out and will be studied under a microscope too see if the cells are normal or cancerous. However a detailed physical examination involving palpation and percussion and trans illumination of lump is required before making any further comments.
