What Causes Soft Stool And Abdominal Pain?

My husband, 73, started out the evening with abdominal pain along with testical pain. He says he has had a soft stoool for about a week. On the stool many times this evening, to no avail. (He did poop this morning.) His bp jumped up to 199/95, pulse 50. He normally has a low pulse. Now several hours later, no pain, no bowel movement, but now his bp is 106/40, pulse 58. He feels clammy and looks and feels tired. Does this sound serious?

Hello,
As your husband having pain abdomen with soft stool and aged 73 , I think it must be due to amoebic infection , which may have constipation also but he had blood pressure 199/95 , pulse 50 , it falls to 106/40 and pulse 58 after few hours of stool , so its alarming at this age ,therefore you must take care of him by giving plenty of liquids and fluids with electrolyte powder immediately and also treat him for amoebic infection ,which is commonly detected, by giving him ofloxacin+Ornidazole twice a day at least 3-5 days. By above suggestion he will recover and definitely relived by his problem. Good luck and take care.
