What Causes Sore Feeling Under The Tongue?

I have had a sore feeling under my tongue for the past two days, which I thought was an ulcer developing. Tonight I looked in the mirror and it looks like I have a second mini tongue, a swelling horizontally across my frenulum. There is a small white patch on the left side which looks like an ulcer. Should I be worried about mouth cancer and should I visit a doctor?a white patch

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for posting your query.
Tongue lesion appears to be of a very short duration. It sounds like an aphthous ulcer.
The other possibilities are lymph node infection, salivary gland lesion.
You should be concerned but not worried.
You need antibiotics and local ulcer creams. since these are prescription medicines I would suggest you to consult your family doctor.
Please do Betadine mouth gargles to was away the debris collected.
Hope I have cleared your doubts.
Regards
