Hi,

white or yellow cloudy discharge or pus from breast or nipple is a sign of 'BREAST INFECTION'. It is usually caused by bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) normally seen in the skin and find its way into the nipple through a crack in the skin resulting in an ' abscess '. I advise you to:
- Take analgesics for pain
- Course of antibiotics
- Keep ice pack and completely dry your nipple before dressing up
- If abscess is there, then draining under USG guidance

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
