What Causes Sore Spot Near Ear On Left Side Of Neck?

i have something like a bum on my left side of head back of the ear on the place where skull is coming into a neck or nape but on left side more close to ear. It s a bit painful on touch no too much. Then it was also something i could touch more down on neck but not big and feels like muscle bum. then this left and now is something more close to ear not really big but also I can feel it. could be lymphs. it s on left side. well i noticed that one of my tooth has a kind of cits or something on same left side. i am feeling alright don t have any fever. i have been in stress some days and well been smoking a little too much. also been sleeping in not well position cause of too many pillows, and had tension on neck. i have it for maybe 1 week this problem.

My thoughts and suggestions are as below. A swelling behind the left ear is most probably a post-auricular lymph node unless proved otherwise. This usually occurs due to skin infection of the ear, upper neck or scalp on the same side. Do not worry as it is usually not related to any stress or sleeping postures and all that you are thinking about. Take an opinion of an ENT Surgeon, get an ultrasound and FNAC to know the exact diagnosis. If it turns out to be a lipoma or cyst get it removed.
