What Causes Sore Throat After Having Spicy Food?

Last night about two hours after eating food that was mildly spicy, I ended up with a sore throat and earache on one side. The only hot spices were pepper and a little paprika. It came on so sudden i feel fine a little fever not bad just throat and earache. I havent been around other people or left my house for a few days. So i find the sore throat weird.

Spicy food may irritate the mucosa may lead to throat pain. Spicy food may lead to acidity lead to acid reflux may cause pharyngitis.
Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking.
Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week.
Also check for viral or bacterial pahryngitis .
If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
