What Causes Sore Throat After Having Unprotected Oral Sex?
My girl friend went to the doctor with a sore throat. The doctor said it looked like strep, but the instant test came back negative. I worried I may have given her an STD. I received unprotected oral sex several weeks prior. I do not have any symptoms.

Sore throat could be possible due to STD when there is oral sex. Gonorrhea or Chlamydia. Possibility of Gonorrhea is less as it would have a florid manifestation if you have the infection. Chlamydia could be a possibility. Without STD, other than Streptococcal infection is also a possibility. Close intimacy during sex without an oral sex also can cause non STD sore throat through an air-born infection.
