I screamed really loud recently and ever since my throat has felt sore and my voice has taken on a very weird, horse tone. When I try to talk a little louder its pitch drops and it sounds like I m screaming. Is there something wrong with my larynx or is it just a sore throat?
Hi, Welcome to HCM, screaming aloud can cause vocal cord mucosal edema and sore throat change in voice ..if too much pain take tab paracetamol 500mg twice after food for 4 to 4 days or till pain subsides.. Drink lots of water or soothing, warm non-caffeinated drinks (like herbal tea). Rest your voice as much as possible. and give voice rest most important..You should be okay in few days. get well soon.. Happy to help Dr. Paparaja S Healthcare magic
