What Causes Sore Throat And Difficulty In Swallowing In A 8 Year Old?

Hi, my 8 year old started feeling alittle run down a couple of days ago. He had his tonsils removed when he was 3, but said his throat hurt and hard to swallow. He also has a large white looking ulcer on the side of his tongue. I took him to see his pediatrician who said he may be coming down with a cold but ultimately saw nothing wrong, no red throat or any infection. He is still run down and says his throat still hurts and hard to swallow. Tonight I noticed his cheeks were flushed and he is just plain miserable and run down.

Thanks for the query.
It seems like he might be having some infection in throat.
Please provide me some details like , is he having fever or not?, his weight, also send me the photo of that white spot if possible.
Start with warm salt water gargles, syp. Sinarest plus 5 ml 3 times a day after food.
If fever or any other sign of infection consider giving syp. Azee(200) 5ml once a day.
