HI I have sore throat and have lost my voice. I have tested negative for strep and monoclonal antibodies. My voice keeps diminishing instead of improving with time. Besides my nose piercing is twinging a little. when I started applying an antibacterial cream prescribed to me its changing color slightly. I am currently travelling and cant visit the same doctor again. Kindly advise
Hi. Since you are negative for Streptococcal and Monoclonal strains , this is a general Pharyngitis with Laryngitis. Get an Endoscopy done to see the exact problem the Vocal Cords have. Suggested treatment is : Voice rest- no speaking at all- use pencil and paper. Plain water steam inhalations. Antibiotics according to the culture and sensitivity report. Anti-inflammatory medicines.
