What Causes Sore Throat And High Fever?

my husband has what looks like tonsillitus, his throat is sore he can hardly eat or drink anything he had a fever yesterday and it broke last night , it was about 101 degrees. his throat is sore to the touch on his neck and he has had little pimple-like boils poppping up on his kneck. he is 27 about 250 pounds and 5 foot 11 inches tall.

Read and understood the history about your husband.
It seems that he is suffering from severe tonsillitis along with the inflammation of hte cartilages of the neck .
He needs an intensive treatment with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines like Ibuprofen, symptomatic and supportive treatment.
You have to take him to the Doctor, preferably an ENT to have a clinical evaluation and investigations and to get a proper prescription based treatment as outlined above.
