Hi, I have some white pimple like spots tucked behind the tonsils also a sore throat ,and swollen lymph nodes in the neck. last night when I stuck my finger back there and pushed, some pus came out.. It smelled and tasted very bad. Is it possible to have tonsil stones, and infection or does this sound like something else?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to viral or bacterial infection. Use tablet Amoxicillin and Clavulinic acid 625 mg for five days. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Avoid cool drinks and ice creams. Use tablet Levocetirizine for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
