What Causes Sore Throat And Swollen Tonsils After The Head Injury?

Hi, I received a knock to the head and now I have a sore throat when I swallow which feels like my tounsils are swollen. I am 33, 5 ft 10 and weigh 13 stone with no medical history. The swollen tounsils / sore throat started when I got the knock to my head. What could be the possible link between the two? Thank you in advance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to tonsillitis and sore throat.

For that you can take tablet acetaminophen.

You may require broad spectrum antibiotics after consultation.

Along with that do steam inhalation and Betadine gargle twice a day.

Take hygienic food and water. Maintain proper hygiene.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
