What Causes Sore Throat For About Two Weeks?

Hi, I ve had a sore throat for about 2 weeks. I was congested too but got over that. I thought maybe it has to do with the air conditioner window unit but am worried it could be an illness. Could it be something more serious like strep throat? I ve never had it before and am 30 years old. What do you think?

Thanks for your reply. I have gone through your query.
The soreness in the throat can be because of the bacterial infection, nothing to be panic. You can take a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin. Do saline gargling. If the soreness does not subside, then consult an ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. You can get a smear done to confirm the diagnosis.
I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
