What Causes Sore Throat With Burning Sensation?

confused about the diagnosis Hello! My name is Julie and i am 24. I started working out 3 months ago and 2 months ago i began having some problems with the neck and throat. I went to see my family physician and she said i have tonsillitis for which i followed a treatment. Things got better but after a few days the symptoms came back. I went to endocrinology just in case because she said it s better to rule out any problems there and no problem was found. Then i went to ENT and the doctor said the throat is ok, only i have large tonsils and it s better to keep them to avoid problems with the pharynx. One other thing he discovered was a pain on the left side of the neck, close to the cervical spine, a problem with a cervical nerve for which he told me to apply some cream. My symptoms kept on being the same: sore throat around the tonsils on the muscles, a burning sensation with a feeling like scratching when i d drink and eat, even when talking. It was strange because it felt like the muscles r so contracted that it got uncomfortable to talk. This was just in some days, in others the neck would get numb, with headache coming the left side of the neck, the area where the ENT doctor pressed and dizziness when i was getting up from a chair or bed, but just for a few moments. I was taking calcium and magnesium, sometimes painkiller and kept on applying cream but still it didnt get better after the 1st month. A few days i was having problems with the sore throat (it was red too on the muscles next to the tonsils and the soft palate) and the numbness climbing on the left cheek and temple and inside making it more difficult to swallow. I went to see my physician again and she advised me to see a neurologist who will tell me to take an X-ray or MRI to see what s going on with that nerve. So i went but the doctor didn t seem too interested in what i was saying and just a few minutes after i entered he diagnosed me with sensory motor polyneuropathy. He asked me if i have problems sleeping, i said i sleep quite good, if i have trouble walking i said no actually i enjoy walking many miles and i m never tired. But he had already scared me with what he was saying so when he checked my pulse it was twice the normal and my hands were cold and sweaty, so it was sure for him that i m ill. He gave me a prescription with Milgamma N, Lyrica, calcium and some other pills for high blood pressure though i was desperately telling him i don t have high blood pressure. I left with the thought of asking another opinion because i ve always been healthy, nobody in my family has ever had this disease and i can t believe i have muscle atrophy when i feel nothing wrong in my hands and legs. Now i m better, the only thing left is the sore throat which appears close to the epiglottis but the numbness, headache and dizziness r gone due to painkillers and massage with that cream. But it has been 2 months! I wish to know if possible, what could have been? Is it possible that doctor was right? If so, then why now i m almost back to normal? And why i m left with that soreness that is still bothering me when i eat and drink, as if i have a wound and i m about to swallow the tonsils? And what tests do i have to take to see if i have polyneuropathy or not? Thank you very much and please excuse my long message.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may have postural hypotension. You need to take plenty of water and some juice. You should not stand in the same position for a long period. You need to do an ECG and Echocardiography.
