I have been having a horrible sore throat for a little over a week. I've looked back in my throat and I can see that only the right side tonsil is severely swollen. I haven't been coughing, I haven't had my nose draining or anything like that to cause this. Does this possibly mean I need my tonsils out?
hi if only one tonsil is enlarged it would be peritonsillitis or tonsillar abscess. it needs urgent drainage of pus . if ur age is above 50 and if u have tobacco chewing and smoking habit , u should also suspect a Tumour of tonsil.(rare possibility)
