General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I have read your query & understand your concern. The oral symptoms you have seem to be Oral thrush. In pregnancy, due to increased blood supply, oral cavity is prone to get such infection. It is a sort of fungal infection due to bad oral hygiene. Consult your Dentist for treatment. Please inform him about your pregnancy. Usually antifungal medicines to suit you along with mouth paints for local application & B complex preparations are given in such patients. Along with the medicines you need to- -Follow good oral hygiene, - avoid spicy/sticky food. - avoid eating sugar/yeast containing food, -stop smoking - avoid mouth washes/sprays- for they distroy normal oral flora. Thanks. Thanks.
