What Causes Soreness And Inflammation On The Legs?

not sure I know what to ask really. I went to meet a lady friday to clean for her. she is 93. Her legs look lke she has third degree burns on them. I was just courious to see pictures of different leg problems to see if I see anything like she has. She said she had seen a lot of doctors and specialists and they say they dont know what to do for her. I am concerned about how her legs look. She said they are sore to touch and very irritated looking. Just wanted to see pictures to see if I see anything like what she has.Thank You

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The elderly are prone to vascular disorders. Both the arteries and veins are affected. Narrowing of the arteries and faulty valves in the veins may cause problems in blood supply and tissue oxygenation. A common problem in such cases is with wound healing. The healing process takes much longer and sometimes it never completes. You can check out such pictures by doing a google search with the term "leg ulcers". Look at the images I'm sure you'll identify this lady's case.

I hope your question has been answered.
Kind Regards!
