What Causes Soreness And Swelling In Testicles?
This morning one of my testicles is a little sore and swollen. The only cause I can think of is a few days ago I was carried a 5 gallon bucket of paint into the house. Can this be a cause? I took a couple of Aleve. Could that have been the cause and will Aleve help? Thank you.

1.The history and symptoms suggest the possibilities of having an inguinal hernia, generally seen after a weight lifting.
2.The other possible cause could be orchitis - inflammatory condition in testicular parenchyma can give such symptoms with swelling and soreness.
3.Finally testicular lesions may also give above signs and symptoms - but does have some time gap.
4.In this case as a diagnostic ultrasound scrotum will help to detect what is the nature of the swelling, its source and extensions, in case of hernia defect and content will be identified, at the same time blood supply to the testis.
5.The medication aleve is a pain killer, but i would recommend to find out the cause of the pain and treat accordingly.
