What Causes Soreness In Rectal Area After Intercourse?

I am 66 yr old and married to the same woman for 42 years and we have both been true to one another. This morning she told me that after we have sex she gets soreness from my semen. She said it was not always that way. She said it takes a few days to clear up. The area of soreness is in her rectum and we only do vaginal sex. What could the cause be for this?

Hi

The cause cannot be determined this easily without laboratory investigations. But it would still be wise to conduct STD-Panels for both of you to rule out/confirm any STDs. After this a physical examination could also be conducted to check on other causes like yeast infections which can get worse with sexual intercourse. For now, nothing serious that should be concerning, but the investigations will be required, indefinitely.

Best wishes
