What Causes Soreness In Throat And Nasal Passage On Exposure To Disinfectants?

I was cleaning rooms at my place of employment which is a senior living I was using Clorox toilet bowl cleaner and a disinfectant cleaner in the sinks in the bathroomI now I am losing my voice have a little trouble swallowing my own spit sore throat and nasal passages what do you think could be going on?? Please tell me what you think

Hi

Welcome in HCM.

I understand your concern and it appears as you are sensitive to Clorox toilet bowl because all signs of allergy in nose and throat appeared after it's use.

You are advice to consult your ENT doctor for examination and treatment of this allergy. Till you are waiting the specialist you may take-

1- Steroid.

2- Anti inflammatory.

3- Adequate fluid orally.

4- Anti allergic like Fexofenadine / cetrizine etc.

I hope above will solve your problem and in future try to avoid it as to prevent re-occurrence.
