What Causes Soreness In Throat And Tongue?
Is it possible to have a sore tongue or throat muscle instead of a common cold sore throat? it hurts a little when I swallow and only on one side and when I move my tongue in certain ways, I did have a cold within the last couple weeks that lingered for longer than usual.

Soreness of throat is nothing but mucosal congestion in throat. It happens after a episode of common cold
If you have pain while moving tongue, it might be a mild form of lingual tonsillitis.
You can start by doing salt water gargling and paracetamol if pain is present.
Consult your doctor if pain increases or fever develops
