Should my epiglottis be visible to me when looking in a mirror with my head back. I am experiencinga feeling of something stuck in my throat. pain when swallowing, sometimes breathing and yawning and some head movement. I noticed this pink thing when looking at my throat and googled it and wondered if it should be visible. And what could cause my symptoms. I swallowed/inhaled a pin 5-6 years ago. Im not sure if thats relevant.
Hello Looking at your description, It seems to be related to inflammation of the throat. Here I would like to know if you are running fever or having nasal congestion or blockage ?
In my opinion you should do gargling with warm.saline water and if it doesn't improve than you can take anti allergic drugs like levocetirizine or fexofenadine.
If it's not subside even with this treatment than you may require a course of antibiotics under supervision of your doctor. Swallowed pin might not be related to your symptoms, but to be on safer side it's better to rule out by an C ray of the neck and chest or abdomen.
Thanks for your question Please do.let me know if you have any more queries wish you good health
