What Causes Soreness In Urine Hole During Pregnancy?
Hi,
I am 12 weeks pregnant and currently on anti biotics for what the doctor thinks is a urine infection. However its not painful to go to the toilet, however when I wipe etc my urine hole is very sore and also very sore to touch. Its very red and im worried due to being pregnant?
Hi, Thanks for the query. According to your description, there is possibility of urinary tract infection. Along with antibiotics, you can go for urine alkalizers with your doctor's advice. This can help in decreasing the pain during micturition. Then using analgesic and anti inflammatory tablets and local creams can decrease the pain at the urethra. You have to take plenty of oral fluids at least 3 to 4 liters per day. Avoid retention of urine. Prolonged retention of urine can lead to infection. Pass urine after every 2 to 3 hours. Complete the course of antibiotics. If you get pain abdomen etc symptoms due to urinary infection, go for progesterone supplementation to prevent premature uterine action with your doctor's advice. Take care.
