What Causes Soreness On One Side Of My Tongue?

One side of my tongue is sore and has been for about 3 months. I have been treated for thrush but that didn t help. An internal dr didn t see anything wrong. I don t know what to do now. My teeth don t hurt at all. I have lost taste of food, and my tongue feels like a wooden tongue depressor is on it.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The soreness over the tongue can be because of a traumatic ulcer or lichen planus. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use topical analgesic like choline salicylate and topical anesthetic like lignocaine. If it is a lichen planus, then you can take topical steroids like triamcinolone acetonide.
I hope I have answered your query, take care.
