Hello...I have an open sore on my shoulder...approximately the diameter of a dime...for at least six months...that just will not heal...it gets slightly better with lotion but will not completely heal...I am a 61 year old male that is on several medications for depression but otherwise healthy...I am 6 feet tall and weigh 180 lbs...your insight will be appreciated.
Dear patient You have got non healing ulcer on shoulder. One of the reason may be uncontrolled diabetes. If you are diabetic and not taking medication then start taking it as high blood sugar level delays wound healing. Also smoking and alcohol intake delays wound healing. So if you have this bad habit try to quit it. Also now better methods are available for wound cover. You need to consult expert plastic surgeon nearby you and get yourself examined.
