What Causes Sore, pins And Needles In Chest After A Drink?
my husband is 39 and is 6 3 weighs 17stone last week while taking a drink it went down the wrong way and he was really sore after it since then a few times a day he has been getting like pins and needles across his chest he said he feels like he has blocked something when he took the drink
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, he had mostly aspiration of drink in the lungs. This can cause inflammatory reaction in lungs. So his symptoms like pins and needle sensations are mostly due to aspiration only. These symptoms are usually self limiting in nature. So give him simple anti inflammatory drug and he will be alright in 1-2 days. But if he develops cough, fever, phlegm production and breathlessness then immediately consult pulmonologist because her may need inhaled treatment in the form of inhaled bronchodilator and inhaled corticosteroids. At present, no need to worry for these symptoms. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your husband. Thanks.
