Yesterday I put my earphones on, at a moderate volume, and when I took them out, my right ear sounded like a robot whenever i spoke. What is it? is it treatable? Should i feel a doctor? Is it really bothering me. I thought it would go away by the next day, but I still have it.
The problem you mention in query is probably occur due to eustachian tube dysfunction. Eustachian tube is a small tube connecting middle ear or inner ear to naso pharynx. There can be many reasons for eustachian tube dysfunction . It usually occur when it become clogged due to mucus produce because sinusitis , post nasal drip and chronic upper respiratory infection. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again to discuss the case . Doctor may order X-ray of face or CT scan to find out exact cause . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course , expectorant and anti histamine drug depending upon the diagnosis . Take steam twice a day and also do warm saline gargles.
Till then start taking over the counter anti histamine drug like benadryl .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
