What Causes Spasms And Jerking Sensation Behind The Sternum?
I have been having a spasm or jerking senstaion in my behind my sternum (no pain) followed by a burning sensation that flows from base of neck out to end of shoulders followed by dizziness. This is all over in less than a minute. It is not heart problems--I have had mutiple test run. I just need to know where to go from here. What kind of doctor to look for to get results. Also I have point tenderness on left side of sternum into end of collar bone by throat.
Hello Welcome to healthcare it seems that you are having Gerd I.e gastrointestinal esophageal reflux disease. I would suggest you to start ppi inhibitors like pantoprazole with domeperidone once daily, or even twice daily if severe and anti reflux measures like adequate fluids intake, avoid coffee tea smoking and heavy meals. Daily walk etc you will definitely be benefited. If not just get an ecg done, though it will not be necessary
