What Causes Spasms In The Left Side Of The Abdominal Muscles?

Having a pulsating/spasm feeling in the left side of my abdomen. It s not painful and sort of just feels like a muscle spasm. It s not constant, but when it happens it feels like its in sync with my heart. I m just a little nervous since the only thing that s coming up when I search my symptoms is aortic aneurysm. Should I be concerned, or is it probably just a muscle twitch?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be a simple musculoskeletal pain. As the first line of management, you can take analgesics like Acetaminophen or Diclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, you can consult a general physician and go for an ultrasound abdomen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
