I have had sinus surgery in May htis year (ESS) and following a sinus infection and ten day course of amoxycilin I have an orange mucus from my nose when I finally clear it by blowing. This has been for about 4 days now and tonight I noticed that there are specks in the mucus - actually inside - that look like the little specks that wash off strawberries. Any ideas of what may be going on?
me dear friend, its nothing to worry about. after sinus surgery it is common to have blood stained mucus and dried crusts coming out of your nose. you just need to keep using medicines. saline nasal irrigation is very helpful for keeping sinuses clear and avoiding such problems.just stay in close follow up with your treating surgeon.
