What Causes Spinning Sensation When I Lie Down?

the past day or so I have had minor episodes of dizzyness and or vertigo. Even when I am lying down there can be the spinning of what i see around me. I do have some sensitivity in my upper abdomen but that may not be related. my blood pressure, oxygen and pulse are all normal, (I check them regularly). Any ideas
