What Causes Sponge Like Pieces In Stool Of 6 Months Old?
Hi my 6 month old son pooped a moment ago and it was normal yellow/orange tint but had solid-like (spore like) pieces in it. He had a little bit of watermelon (juice only-no solid). I m concerned he also peewas yellow tint to it. I have a picture if anyone wanted to view what I saw. I m concerned of dehydration. Please help.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of your baby having passed a sponge like thing. Had watermelon also. This can be either undigested piece of watermelon or can be coagulated milk or so. If there is no blood or mucus in stool, the worry is less. I would advise you to have the stool checked. Inform this to the pediatrician as clinical examination can help to see that everything is fine and also to get blood and urine checked for hepatitis. Further management as per the reports and clinical evaluation.
