What Causes Spots On Legs, hips And Forearm

Have had these spots on my legs, hip area and inside forearm since january..The first G.P. said they were a fungus, which was the wrong diagnosis and gave me ointment that made it worse, had to go to emergencey room and get steroids to stop the reaction to the medication.Next step went to a dermotologist, had blood work and biopsy of the spots and tests showed normal..They dont know what they are either...Help,i would like to wear shorts this summer. The arms slightly improved....Some days it looks better then others..

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is papular urticaria or insect bite hypersensitivity. You should try to use mosquito nets as much as possible. Topical mild steroid cream like mometasone can be applied over the affected area. Oral antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used after consulting your dermatologist. Regards
