What Causes Spotting After I-pill?

Hi, my LMP was 6th june, 14. I have missed my period due on 4th july, 14 as my cycle is 28 days. I had unprotected sex on 14th june, 14 and took i-pill on 15th June, 14. My home pregnancy test on 9th july, 14 was negative but i had spotted on 30th June, 1st and 2nd July, 14. I am really worried. What course of action is adviced by you. I already have two kids aged 6 and 9 and i am not looking for another pregnancy.

Hi,

Spotting and irregular bleeding can happen after taking emergency pills like I-pill. It’s quite common and will settle by itself.

As of now, no treatment is required and it does not indicate pregnancy.

You can go for a urine pregnancy test for reassurance.
