I am 76 years old. I had a complete vaginal hystorectomy at 62 years old, ovaries and all. I started have a few spots of blood and lite menstrual pain about every couple months. The blood does not appear to be from dryness. How could this be happening?
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows: 1. Spotting after hysterectomy could be due to vaginal inflammation or cancers. 2. As it is associated with features like menstrual pain, associated endometriosis needs to be ruled out. 3. Meet your doctor and get a physical done. 4. Check hemoglobin levels, as you might be anemia.
Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
