What Causes Spotting After Straining For Bowel Movement?

I had a bladder surgery sling about 3 weeks ago. have had no pain. have vaginal stiches. I have had no menstral for at least 6-9 months. I have been constipated and strained to have a bowel movement. now I have some spotting with slight cramping. is it my period or surgery complications?

Seems it the surgical stress with resultant-increased pelvic vascularity and resultant hypercirculation.
Constipation and straining with it is also due to reflex spasm of the ano-rectal sphincters.
