What Causes Spotting After Taking Duphaston For Polycyst And Inspite Of Taking Tranxanemic?
i had trans-V ultrasound and doctor said that I had polycyst in my ovary. She gave me duphaston for 1 week. Since then I am experiencing spotting. I went back to her and gave me tranxanemic acid and still, I have ocassional spotting. What is happening?
Duphaston tablets 10mg are used to treat several conditions that are the result of a lack of progesterone including menstrual disorders like, secondary amenorrhoea (menstrual periods that have stopped, are absent or irregular), dysmenorrhoea or painful periods, premenstrual syndrome and abnormal uterine bleeding, which occurs during the menstrual cycle instead of at the end and also used to treat endometriosis (growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterus causing pain and bleeding), infertility and spontaneous abortion (miscarriage). include: nausea, bloating, breast pain, irregular bleeding, dizziness, weight gain, skin rash and itch. Tranexamic acid works by helping the blood clot normally to prevent and stop prolonged bleeding. I suggest u to wait for a week and your periods will be normal and spotting may stop. If not consult your doctor for further help. Regards
