What Causes Spotting And Cramping During Eighth Week Of Pregnancy?

Hi went to hospital for a scan because of some spotting nd light crumping when I was eight weeks pregnant.. But the dr.. Did the scan nd said to me it does look like 6 weeks pregnt nd no heartbeat.. She asked me to go for another scan 2 weeks later .. Nd there is a possibility to have a miscarriage before the scan.. Still I'm bleeding but light bright red sometimes pinkis mucousy blood when I wipes.but didn't pass any blood clot yet. My first scan was 11 nov.. Another one will be 25.im passing very hard time.. Can u pls tell me is there any hope?????? Thanks.

I understand your query.
Bleeding & cramping in early pregnancy indicates thrertand abortionue to hormonal deficiency/Missed abortion, where there is abscence of heart beats & growth of fetus.
Fetal heart sound can be noted by 5 weeks of pregnancy through vaginal probe sonography. and by abdominal probe it takes 8 weeks fetus to see heart beat.
* Please don't panic, calculation of fetal age has it's own errors.Usually two readings of fetal heart at 8 weeks is preferred to avoid error.Please be composed & get your repeat sonography , it may have +ve results.
Till then-
Take rest, avoid stress,
I would advise Duphaston 10 mg pills twice a day ( 12 hourly) till next scanning. This will support fetus in case the bleeding is due to thretened abortion,It's not at all harmful
Preferably to be under care of a gynecologist should be best.
