What Causes Spotting And Fluttering Sensation In The Stomach?

okay well the last time I had sex was on December third 2017 and since then I ve had two heavy periods. it is now February 6 and I ve had brown spotting for the past two days and im not sure what this means. I ve tried searching this but all it says is that I might be pregnant but I don t believe I am and I don t have money for a test. I ve also been feeling these weird flutters in my stomach for several days but I don t believe that im pregnant. I have not experienced any type of morning sickness either which means that im not pregnant. I just want to be sure nothing serious is going on.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Since you had period after contact and no more contacts happened, there is less chance of being pregnant. The spotting may be a sign of ovulation or any infection. You should be checked for infection by doing a vaginal smear.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
