What Causes Spotting At 29 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

I am 28 weeks almost 29 weeks and I have been bleeding since the 11th. I have had some red to red-orange i guess you would call spotting, but i am going through about 3 panty liners a day and one at night. I have already been checked for BV and Yeast infection. I have thrombocytopenia and waiting on my 3hr GTT. I also have extreme pain in my hips and I am struggling to put any weight on my right leg.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Spotting can be due to low lying placenta( placenta previa), bleeding around the fetus( subchorionic haemorrhage), retroplacental hematoma, some local lesions in cervix or vagina, or cause not found( idiopathic). In your case, the spotting can be due to thrombocytopenia also.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including ultrasound and get appropriate treatment.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
