Recently my wife had spotting for almost 7 days. She had her last period on Dec 8th. She was expecting a period on Jan 8th. Instead from Dec 30th onwards she reported spotting every day. Now this has stopped. What could be the cause of this kind of scanty periods? She had very severe cold and cough for the past 10 days which has reduced. Could you help us if this is an emergency? Does she have to take any tests?
