What Causes Spotting For 3 Weeks When On Depo Shots?

Hey, I ve been on my depo shot since January. Within that time I was spotting with mild cramps but it stopped after 1 week. This would happened every month or so. My spotting has stopped completely up until 3 weeks ago. I m due for another depo shot this month. My boyfriend and I have unprotected sex frequently. The last time was in mid September. Since then I ve been spotting and cramping for 3 weeks. I also have an history of ovarian cysts on my left ovary from 2 years ago. Am I pregnant? Or is it possible I have an infection?

As u said your depo shot is due & u have not taken any other precautions then chances of pregnancy are there..
So get done urine pregnancy test for confirmation of pregnancy... If it's positive then chances of abortion are quite possible.. But if test is negative then it may be due to hormonal imbalance due to depo shot..
