What Causes Spotting, Lower Back Pain And Cramps?

Took 2 morning after pills in a month got my period after one pill and spotted after I took the other one...I have really bad lower back pain and cramps mostly at night. Took a Pregnancy test and it was negative. Cramps and no period??? Does morning after mess up your hormones?
