What Causes Spotting With Blood Clots During Periods?

Hi, I have been spotting and passing blood clots between my periods. This has been happening everyday for nearly 3 weeks now, and I have gone past my normal period due date. I am usually very regular and have never had this sort of bleeding before. Could you please tell me what is causing this? Thankyou.

Hello.
Thank you for your question.
There can be irregularity durpe to hormonal imbalance which are required for normal menstrual cycle.
Rule out pregnancy by doing urine pregnancy test.
You will need to undergo certain tests like LH, FSH, thyroid hormones ,prolactin.
also ultrasound of uterus.
