What Causes Stabbing Pains In My Chest After Gall Bladder Removal?

I had my gallbladder taken out 8 months ago and I have recently started to get extremely bad chest pains in the middle of my chest. Almost as if I am getting stabbed and punched in my stomach to where I cant breathe at times. It comes and goes but its starting to concern me. Should I go to the hospital or is this normal after surgery?
