What Causes Stabbing Womb Pains And Back Ache Prior To Childbirth?
hi, im a few days from being 39weeks pregnant and today ive been getting sharp almost like stabbing pains on the lower left side of my bump. it's not particulaly strong but its uncomfortable. i also have a dull nagging and very annoying ache in my lower back. any ideas what this could be? or if its a sign labour is round the corner. iv also been nesting today aswell

I understood your concern and My opinion is that
if you are having continuous stabbing pain which is gradually increasing in intensity,frequecy and duration than its definately sign of labor pain , because you already has reached 39 wks and in majority patients labor pain start at this gestational age.
i will advise you to go to near by gynec hospital and get admitted and do Non stress test to see fetal well being
