Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, My right leg started shaking suddenly tonight and I don t know why. My legs have been feeling very stiff and achy for the past week or so. I am also experiencing some cognative problems. I cannot focus and it feels like my brain is just fuzzy for lack of a better word. Any ideas?
As there are sudden stiffness and pain it is related to never pathology or higher motor functions. We need an assessment on a clinical basis. Since you mentioned about the cognitive problems it's better to have a word with the same neurologist regarding the same.
As online consultation has some limitations for diagnosing the conditions based on symptoms we would be happy to let you know that a clinical examination is a must.
For now, you can do hot water fermentation to the lower back and see if stiffness and pain are reducing. If so then it's related to the peripheral Nervous system. In case if this fails then we need to look out for the higher motor functions symptoms and treat accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
